Here below are some pictures I took when I was in Idar Oberstein in Germany where they mined Gemstones.
What was very interesting was that they called their gemstones Hidden treasure. These precious stones were hidden inside what looked like uninteresting rocks. The miner knew which rocks contained each special gemstone.
These rocks had to be split to find the gemstone inside, then it had to go through a process of being cleaned up and polished to become the special gem it was. Shaped for the purpose it was destined to be.
It was a very lengthy process but the results were beautiful as you can see by the pictures I have put on.
This encouraged by heart with the name I chose for my book Gemstones of the Heart. The process we all go through in life can be long before the beautiful gemstones that are in our heart are allowed to shine as they should.
